We are currently looking for a Superintendent to join our subsidiary WWPS, LLC. – located just west of the greater Atlanta area. WWPS specializes in construction services related to water and wastewater treatment facilities.
The Superintendent is responsible for the scheduling, direction, and coordination of subcontractors, self-performed field labor, equipment and construction materials. This position is accountable for the efficient and effective day-to-day construction of the project following the overall construction methodology and means developed by the Project Manager. The Superintendent is capable of supervising a project scope of 1-8 million dollars.
The Superintendent interfaces with owners, designers, subcontractors, fire and building code officials, and other stakeholders - ensuring client satisfaction, both internally and externally, through positive, pleasant, professional and efficient handling of issues.
This position is also accountable for reading and comprehending intent of drawings, specifications, and submittals. The scope of the role may entail assisting the Project manager on estimating change orders, in addition to the purchase of project construction materials.
This individual will demonstrate and reinforce the importance of safety as a top priority of the organization. He/she always wears a hard hat and other appropriate personal protective equipment in the field.
Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or 5-10 years of experience in the construction trades as a foreman and general foreman; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Corresponds through and is proficient with MS Outlook. Basic MS Word, Excel and intranet/internet skills.
Completion of a trade apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of training and experience. OSHA 30 hour. SafeRing Training. Technical Training to be determined.
Class II Unrestricted Georgia Electrical License Required.
