    As a leading force in the construction services industry, Alberici has 100 years of history and annual revenue exceeding 2 billion dollars. We are currently looking to add an accomplished, leadership-focused, and goal-oriented Risk Manager to our St. Louis-based Risk Management staff.


    The Risk Manager is responsible for identifying and analyzing the risks faced by the organization from accidental loss, and applies appropriate techniques to minimize their adverse effects. This individual is an effective business partner to Operations, Safety and senior leadership.


    This role is accountable for overseeing design, placement and management of the insurance program, assuring the insurance program is adapted as necessary to meet changing operations and/or exposures. The position oversees and assists in review of bid specifications and contracts to identify risk of loss and apply appropriate risk management techniques. The Risk Manager analyzes and presents safety statistics to the appropriate group, working in concert with the Safety Director to implement, monitor and present feedback on the safety programs.


    This individual also monitors and controls risk management expenditures including insurance premiums and claim payments. The Risk Manager administers regulatory issues for self-insured Workers' Compensation program, in addition to being responsible for coordinating the interaction of the corporation’s insurance programs with the captive insurance company.


    Qualified candidates will have a Master's degree plus five to ten years related experience in insurance and risk management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supervising subordinates and consultants within a Risk Management department in regard to insurance, risk management basics, coverages and limits. Internal supervision refers to demonstrating leadership resulting in effective hiring, training, coaching, disciplining, and development of staff in order achieve and maintain departmental and organizational goals.
